REX GIFFFT CONCEPT in a NUTSHELL ~ For REX GIFFFT, we have simply followed the simple model of community support like WIKIPEDIA and other initiatives, that do not take sponsorships or advertisements to PROTECT EDITORIAL and SELECTION INTEGRITY and THUS ask COMMUNITY MEMBERS to CONTRIBUTE for SUSTAINING THE MOVEMENT. We at REX Karmaveer Global Fellowship and Karmaveer Chakra Awards curate and choose our fellows and award recipients very carefully and some speakers also come and speak at the REX CONCLiVE about their challenges and some also blow the whistle against PEOPLE and ORGANISATIONS that are doing wrong.

We are the only FORUM where we do not restrict FREE EXPRESSION and if we are sponsored by ANY ORGANISATION, then we may be told what to accept and what to CENSOR. WE don’t CENSOR and / or BIAS anyone their AWARD or FREE EXPRESSION to talk and hence take NO SPONSORSHIP (Read Below for more details). And yet we have to SUSTAIN to KEEP MOVING FORWARD as a MOVEMENT to RECOGNIZE GREAT WORK BY PEOPLE WHO ARE NOMINATED and CHOSEN and also PAY people who work to curate all our FUTURE REX Karmaveer Global Fellows, which is a lot of hard work, diligence and meticulous efforts to research, recognize and reward the RIGHT PEOPLE and bring them into the FAMILY as REX Karmaveer Global Fellows. Hence we ask our REX Karmaveer Global Fellows to contribute to REX GIFFFT.

Now to KEEP OUR INTEGRITY intact, we do not accept CONTRIBUTIONS from anyone and everyone and ONLY APPEAL TO FELLOWS (after they have been chosen) to contribute, VOLUNTARILY (It is not MANDATORY and YOUR CHOICE). Many People send us CONTRIBUTIONS to request for THE FELLOWSHIP and AWARD but we do not accept contributions to SUSTAIN and PRESERVE our SANCTITY and CREDIBILITY. ONLY FELLOWS who have been CHOSEN and CONFIRMED can make the REX GIFFFT CONTRIBUTION of their own FREE WILL and CHOICE. The REX GIFFFT model was not created by us as an organisation , but actually CREATED by REX Karmaveer Global Fellows in the FIRST FELLOWSHIP CEREMONY, where AFTER LISTENING TO US about HOW AND WHY WE DON’T TAKE SPONSORSHIPS, over FIFTY (50+) RENOWNED ETHICAL RESPONSIBLE PEOPLE who were CHOSEN as our FELLOWS in the FIRST YEAR, CHOSE and DECIDED to CONTRIBUTE from INR 10,000 to INR 10,00,000 (1 million) on the spot and TOLD US, to ALWAYS keep the INTEGRITY, CREDIBILITY and SANCTITY of REX Karmaveer Global Fellowships , SACRED and SOLID and that WE as REX Karmaveer Global Fellows will support the movement and GIFT IT FORWARD to support FUTURE FELLOWS and thus the REX GIFFFT model was born.

REX Karmaveer GIFFFT is the only fellowship gratitude and future fellows’ legacy endowment program in the world. This unique idea has been designed by our chosen REX Karmaveer Global Fellows, enabling each and all of our fellows to make a contribution and leave behind a lasting legacy of wisdom transfer to benefit future generations. The reason the fellows conceptualised and created GIFFFT is to support the REX Karmaveer Global Fellowship movement to sustain and scale up without being dependent on companies or sponsors who dilute our guiding principles and credibility of the awards program and process.

Serving as the Indian Ambassador to several countries, Kavita and I have attended several learning forums at Harvard in the US, British Columbia in Canada and University of Peace in Costa Rica. However, we are both simply enlightened with the learning we have acquired in the past 2 Right every Wrong Conclaves. This is the real wisdom and learning which the topmost Universities do not offer. A REX Karmaveer global fellow and young social entrepreneur is currently being mentored by another fellow who is a retired CEO of a Fortune 500 MNC, for his business planning and growth. The CEO is also being mentored by this young entrepreneur to understand the finer nuances of social media.

Thus, a unique ‘Perpetual Philanthropy for Social Justice model’ nurturing Global Individual Social Responsibility has been created and nurtured by the REX Karmaveer Global Fellows, with courage of conviction and compassion for inspiring others towards making a difference in our world. REX Karmaveer GIFFFT is based on the centuries old wisdom of Paying It Forward. GIFT IT FORWARD is an expression for describing the beneficiary of a good deed, who repays the good deed to others instead of to the original benefactor. To paraphrase the wise philosopher, poet and lecturer Ralph Waldo Emerson who was the first to promote the Paying It Forward idea “In the order of nature we cannot render benefits to those from whom we receive them. But the benefit we receive must be rendered again, line for line, deed for deed, cent for cent, to some more people as we go forward in our life”.

Essentially, the aim of the fellowship and REX Karmaveer GIFFFT is to enable chosen fellows to feel, enjoy and experience THE JOY OF GIVING and sponsor their friends, family members and associates for bringing together likeminded, ethical and socially conscious people from several sectors across the world.

“With each contribution of INR 10,000 minimum” (One can contribute more at their discretion. Fellows have contributed up to INR 10 million) you as a fellow shall be responsible for the nomination and sponsorship of 3 new Fellows in the following year. This shall be a continuous fellowship participatory phenomenon every year, adding more and more fellows to your REX Tree of Fellowship and Wisdom sharing in subsequent years. Thus, you as a fellow, shall have nurtured, impacted and made a difference in the lives of over 1.5 million people in 12-13 years and your tree shall continue to grow forever.

Please note that REX Karmaveer GIFFFT contributions can only be made by chosen and confirmed fellows and this privilege is not extended to Non- Fellows or people who are not chosen as fellows. The GIFFFT contribution is a VOLUNTARY CHOICE for our fellows to exercise and not essential or mandatory.

How the Idea Works?

The REX Tree of Fellowship for Wisdom Sharing enables all chosen Fellows to begin their personal tree of social impact by making a difference in the lives of other future fellows. With every contribution of INR 10,000 you as a fellow shall be responsible for the nomination and sponsorship of 3 new Fellows in the following year. Your nominated Fellows shall benefit from being chosen as REX Karmaveer Global Fellows because of your Gifting it forward to them. Thus each of your chosen fellows may also be inspired and pledge to Gift it forward to another 3 future fellows in the next year. This shall be a continuous fellowship phenomenon every year adding more and more fellows to your REX Tree of Fellowship and Wisdom sharing in subsequent years.

Subsequently, in the coming years, you as a fellow shall have nurtured, impacted and made a difference in the lives of over 1.5 million people in 12-13 years and your tree continues growing forever and ever. Your impact shall hence continue for eternity and perpetuity. Thus the Gift it Forward future fellows sponsorship program enables you to contribute and create a legacy of nurturing righteous people who are doing good, for all eternity.

Herein through the REX Tree of Fellowship Wisdom sharing each of our chosen fellows can now pledge to Gift it forward and enable other leaders like you to gain huge benefits and advantage from the REX Karmaveer Global Fellowship. Each Fellow who contributes shall see her or his tree grow over the years and in a few years everyone who GIFT’s IT FORWARD shall be making a huge contribution in the lives of over million people. The legacy shall live on and enable you to leave your lasting footprints on the sands of time and a unique gratification of having made a difference in the lives of millions over many years.

Your Gift it forward tree will have a design showing the Karmaveer human figure. By nominating 3 people with a small amount of Rs. 7,500 each and every fellow can now create a lasting legacy and GIFTT their friends the most inimitable and lifelong honour and THE BIGGEST GIFT which is THE JOY OF LEARNING through powerful thinking provoked at the REX CONCLiVE.

We the fellows at REX Karmaveer Global Fellowships conceptualized the idea of Global Individual Social Responsibility, where ‘Greatness’ simply means Individual Responsibility and Character. You achieve greatness when you discover your purpose and are driven by passion to fulfill the same. Our Fellows believe in fulfilling their Individual Social Responsibility and volunteer altruistically while striving for Global Change.

This contribution will not only enable us to carry on the fellowships process but will also help us sustain and preserve high levels of integrity and credibility by always saying ‘NO’ to any kind of unethical funding and support. In 2013-14, we had requested a small GIFT IT FORWARD contribution of Rs. 7,500 from all fellows who were chosen and confirmed. All our fellows not only contributed that amount, but some fellows even pledged bigger amounts ranging from INR 10000 to INR 10 million, while others went the extra mile and contributed in kind by paying for websites, mailers, food, tea etc.

Our fellows also advised us to continue this as a REX Karmaveer Global Fellowship custom and tradition in the future to always sustain the sanctity and credibility of the REX CONCLiVE, REX Karmaveer Global fellowships and the Karmaveer awards. Last year we incurred a cost of a little over INR. 4 million for the REX CONCLiVE and half of that was underwritten by our fellow’s contributions.

In 2018 as we scale up the REX CONCLiVE to the next level, we request all our nominated and chosen fellows (These are fellows who have been nominated, recommended and researched by our erstwhile fellows) by making a GIFT IT FORWARD FUTURE FELLOWS TREE contribution of INR 10,000/- .

The Future Fellows shall be mentored through the fellowship program and the REX- Not just TALKS! Ideas for ACTION!- Wisdom Sharing & Mentoring CONCLiVE, where all of you as fellows can attend sans any fees in your fellowship year. You shall also gain from the online networking forum that we shall be creating in 2019 to help all our chosen fellows network and gain support with each other.

Remember that you were given an opportunity by a former fellow who GIFTED IT FORWARD to help nominate and enroll you as a REX Karmaveer Global Fellows and we would request you to Gift it forward, to enable us for creating opportunities for future Fellows.

Why was the REX Karmaveer GIFFFT idea developed and created for the Mission?

Over the years, REX has been nurtured and sustained as an independent community event and wisdom forum, growing organically, with self-generated funds through the founders’ consulting assignments. At REX CONCLiVE, our founding principles state that we shall never have any censorship or edits on what people would want to speak, if it is based on authentic facts and the truth. We pride ourselves for having lived up to our principles for a decade now and will continue doing so always, as only the truth should always triumph.

GIFFFT contribution will not only enable us to carry on the fellowships process but will also help us sustain and preserve high levels of integrity and credibility by always saying ‘NO’ to any kind of unethical funding and support. In November 2012 at the FIRST REX Karmaveer Global Fellowships award ceremony, all our fellows heard us speak about our ethos and ethical stand in our 7th REX and Karmaveer awards inaugural speeches. When they learned about how we have been declining sponsorship and blood money over the years from unethical companies and organisations, several REX Karmaveer Global Fellows reached out and pledged their solidarity and support. One of our fellows Dr. Ranjit Chandra, the globally renowned father of nutrition and immunology pledged Rs.1, 00,000 at the forum and also presented the Cheque on the spot to the REX Karmaveer Founders at the ceremony itself.

This kind gesture by Dr. Chandra sparked the idea to create and institute “REX Karmaveer GIFFFT- “Gift It Forward Future Fellowship Tree” Endowment Program”. Several Fellows and friends created the REX Karmaveer GIFFFT program and have contributed valuable ideas to improve the REX Karmaveer GIFFFT idea, over the past few years. Most of our fellows and thought leaders have also made initial investments at idea stage, with personal contributions ranging from INR 10000/- to INR 10 million to support, sponsor and nominate deserving and worthy future Fellows like you. This is the power of ideas for action and we hope that all our future fellows also

In 2013, Mark Parkinson, globally renowned educationist and a REX Karmaveer Puraskaar Laureate wrote the mail given above to us. A month after this mail, Thinkfest and its promoters came under the scanner for being sponsored with unethical funding and other issues. The same is happening with several global forums and fellowships including TED and other forums, who are being questioned for accepting funds from unethical companies like Monsanto and also for disallowing people to speak out, their ideas and thoughts at their forums. Check links below. Dr. Richard Saul Wurman the original Founder of TED is our mentor at REX and has advised us to never give up the ethics of our editorial values and content, and we never will.

For over 20 years now REX and iCONGO have said NO to any kind of unethical funding from big conglomerates and resisted all temptation to scale up faster, by not accepting any and all kind of unethical funding and funding that would create censorship and stifle the truth. REX – not just TALKS!
